Montag Oil, Inc. is a full-service oil company with full tank services. We are a licensed provider with the Department of Environmental Quality (D.E.Q.).  We are able to do site assessment for leaking fuel oil tanks (ground samples), cleanup of contamination with tank removal, and tank installations. Also we are able to do in-place Tank Decommissioning.  This is a process in which we are able to use a concrete line pump and fill the tank with a concrete slurry mix.

Any company that you use for decommissioning should have a D.E.Q. number. Our number is DEQ# 16645

Fuel Oil Clean Up:
After a ground sample has been obtained, a clean up may be required.  The laboratory analysis is broken down into parts per million.  If your analysis has a number higher than 500, it's probably necessary for a contamination cleanup and a tank removal.

Ground Samples:
Ground samples are required on most transactions involving the sale of a residence with a below ground heating oil tank.  Either the buyer of the property or the lending institution may request these ground samples.
